I believe stories are an act of connection. They help us understand ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
With a background in cultural studies and oral history, I seek out the people who carry stories, myths, folklore, legends, traditions, and knowledge that may not exist in books or archives, particularly those connected to ways of life that are changing or disappearing.
The Twilight Field Notes is an extension of my work as a Narrative Life Review Specialist and Oral Historian, where I share the stories and cultural knowledge I encounter through my work and travels. My hope is to encourage others to listen closely and preserve the stories that might otherwise be lost.
